Hailey Ettinger

Job Title: Teacher

Biography:

I was born and raised in Lafayette, Colorado and have stayed close to my beautiful home to enjoy the natural environment and tight knit community. I attended all BVSD schools growing up, and had a great experience, so it was my dream to be a teacher in BVSD! I currently live in Longmont with my partner, Jessica. We love to go to the movies, have game nights, and explore the yummy restaurants in Longmont.

I am ecstatic to be starting my teaching career at such a wonderful school. I recently graduated from CU Boulder (GO BUFFS!) with a degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in culturally and linguistically diverse education, as well as a minor in leadership. I am passionate about environmental and social justice and look for ways to make my lessons relatable, meaningful, and interesting to my students.

This summer I taught 1st graders in Longmont, went to Maui, spent time outdoors, read some books, did some yoga, and enjoyed time with family and friend.

Fun Facts about Ms. Hailey Ettinger:
I LOVE coffee! (vanilla cold brew with oatmilk is the best)
I am conversationally fluent in American Sign Language
I enjoy cooking and baking (I made a cinnamon toast crunch birthday cake from scratch recently)
I have many house plants and love getting new ones

Biography:

My name is Staci Fay and I am so excited to be joining the Kohl Community this year! I am going into my seventh year teaching second grade. I was born and raised in a suburb outside of Chicago, Illinois. I completed my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at the University of Illinois. Once I graduated, I moved to Maryland and taught second grade at a Title 1 school just outside Washington D.C. During this time I completed my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction focusing on Teacher Leadership at Concordia University. I also worked as the Grade Level Chair for five years, supporting my teammates in analyzing student data to create tailored intervention and extension opportunities to each of our students. I am excited to use my experience to support our amazing students at Kohl Elementary!

In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places, spending time with my family, traveling, hiking with my 3 year old Husky, skiing, biking, running Tough Mudders, reading, learning Spanish, and cooking.

I can’t wait to meet everyone!
